I will be at the Lehigh University geometry and topology conference this weekend, giving a talk on Friday about worst packing shapes.
These are my slides from a talk I gave to the International Workshop on Packing Problems in Trinity College Dublin in September 2012. In March, I went to the APS March Meeting in Baltimore, where I also gave a short talk.
I have been tardy with posting a link to my PhD thesis. I have been waiting for the electronic version to become available on eCommons@Cornell. I am not sure when it is supposed to become available there, so in the mean time I am making it available here.
Paper published today in Physical Review E about physical tetrahedron packing. The focus of the paper are the optimal packing structures and structural transitions experienced by hard particles with tetrahedral symmetry as their sharpness is continuously increased from the sphere limit to the tetrahedron limit.
